8/19/2012 12:10:29 PM I have been asked to administer a deposition on written questions and I've never done this before. Does anyone have any tips or knowledge of this type of deposition? Also, is there anything different that I need to do in the transcript? Lastly, how would you handle the billing??? Thanks so much! |

They stink, to tell you the truth. You're going to be provided a list of questions the attorney wants answers to. You'll write down the question as the witness reads it, and then you'll take down the answer. The whole procedure will probably be short. I know on the seldom occasions I get that type of assignment, it's usually 10 pages at most. I'd personally. I'll for the minimum appearance (bust) since that would be a greater amount than what you'll actually write. |

| Michael Simon is that where you have to read questions from a script and ask them to the witness and then type the responses? I won`t do those. one, I can`t type and talk at the same time. two, that soooo is not my job! Sunday, August 19, 2012 | ||
| Amy Crain Self I have never heard of that. All you administer is the oath. I`m confused. Monday, August 20, 2012 | ||
| Lori Noel Lewkowitz Answers in Rogatory. Difficult because you must write the question on the machine first, verbally repeat the question to the witness and then write down the witness`s response. It takes forever and you should be paid more for it. Tuesday, September 04, 2012 | ||
