How do I write out when someone says 60 seconds is when you count one thousand one, one thousand two...etc?

I just reported a depo yesterday when counsel is telling the plaintiff 60 seconds is when you count one thousand one, one thousand two, one thousand three, and so on. Do I actually write out one thousand one, etc. or do I put 1001, 1002?

How would I write it out?

Thank you!

In this instance I think I would right it out the way you have it, one thousand one.  Let's see what the other reporters say.

I would write it out in words, not use the numerals.

I'd write it out, unless he says the phrase 60 times.

I like it the way you have it, in words. It seems more clear to me what the speaker is trying to say than do the numbers. fwiw
