Does anyone use Dropbox for audio files?

I currently use T3 for sending audio files to my scopists.  I love it better than anything else I've ever tried.  But I was wondering if anyone uses Dropbox for this function.  If so, I'd like to know how you like it, especially if you have used T3 in the past.

I switched from yousendit to Dropbox.  I like that it stays in there until removed and we both see the folder.  I now keep my scopist's Excel spreadsheet right in Dropbox so she can add a billing and I can mark that I paid, all in one document.  No one is ever confused again and no more lost invoices thru email.  I can also scan exhibits thru ScannerPro app on my phone and put them right into the Dropbox folder while at the job.  Now to be able to just ZIP my Case file into my phone and send to her before I leave also, LOL!

Wow, sounds great! I think my T3 subscription ends in April, so I think I'm going to give it a try before then. Thanks for the info! :o)    -    marcieconn 3/2/2011 8:26:07 PM | Flag
And as someone posted, get others to join 'thru' you and you get added space. I'm up to 4gb FREE just from doing that. That should be enough for me!! :) You could set it up now even while your other one is going, and try to get others to join thru you.    -    Rhoda Raymond Collins 3/2/2011 8:38:28 PM | Flag
Everyone, thanks for the responses! I definitely am going to give it a shot. And I'll have my scopists and proofreaders join through me and get the free space :o)    -    marcieconn 3/2/2011 8:47:30 PM | Flag

I do and it works great. Make sure you have a good connection speed for the Internet. Great when you use Case CATalyst work units and a Scopist.

As a transcriptionist, I`ve used both yousendit and Dropbox, both have worked just fine and they are free. I think it`s personal preference after that! :)

Dropbox is free, too, up to a certain amout of gigabytes. You can also earn extra memory for free by referring friends and you get the free memory when they join, too.
