10/26/2010 8:32:04 PM I'm looking for some good Eclipse tutorial DVDs on the market. I know Keith Vincent does some, but they're kind of "stiff" and I sometimes get lost. Are DVDs worth the money, or is it better to just attend a training seminar? |

What I would do (and I did when I first got on the system) is pay a working reporter for a half day of their time and have them show me how they get a job out. Are you more advanced than that? If you are, I'm sure you could find a reporter who is a whiz who would help you. I spent my training voucher with a certified trainer who simply frustrated and confused me. Keith made it up to me and actually spent a half day with me at that point, and personal training with a knowledgeable person had me producing jobs back up to the speed of my old software in about two weeks. Then I spent another half day with a very proficient reporter, where I learned even more. I think we are the best at teaching each other, in my opinion. |

You may want to check with Anastasia Swinkles, who is our resident Eclipse guru. You can visit her website at www.stenotraining.com |

| Kate Piper I am not on Eclipse, but I would tell you to attend any of the training sessions you can. I know that Julie Samford does some. She seems like a good person to take them from -- keeps things fun and moving. She also sent out something recently about doing something from a cruise!! How could that be a bad thing? I would think the seminar/training would be better because it provides you an opportunity to ask questions. That`s just my two cents :) Wednesday, October 27, 2010 | ||
| Matthew Martinez What state are you in? Julie is great. Keith Vincent`s tutorials are also good. You can buy those directly from Eclipse. The new version that`s coming out is amazing. Wednesday, October 27, 2010 | ||
| Rebecca Callow Do both seminars and CD tutorials!I also recommend getting into as many live seminars as you can, and Julie Samford is one of the BEST there ever was. You will never be bored in one of her classes and she really knows her stuff!www.realtimeready.comIn addition, I have many of Keith`s CDs and I find them very helpful. One good thing about the CDs is you can learn at your own pace. Also with the CDs, for instance, the Realtime macros and the Conflicts tutorial, they come with premade dicti Wednesday, October 27, 2010 | ||
