What would be your suggestion to improve this website? My goals for it are as follows:

  • Easy-to-use
  • Informative for court reporters
  • Something court reporters and students will want to keep coming back to
  • Fast loading pages
  • Kinda fun to belong to
  • How am I doing?

So far so good.  We just need more questions and answers.  But I know that's coming!
Yes, abbaCSR. Also you comment about the blue color of the font has been changed. It's not so blue anymore. An improvement in readability, I feel.    -    Todd Olivas 4/14/2010 12:39:35 PM | Flag
The print size on the comment section could be a little bigger    -    jbergmancsr 5/18/2010 9:44:11 PM | Flag
Hey, jbergmancsr, I just increased it and I think it's much better too. Thanks for your suggestion!    -    Todd Olivas 5/19/2010 9:47:55 AM | Flag

Wish I could see at first glance the state the posts are coming from.  Example:  my posts would say ReneeTomlinson26 (Georgia).

Renee! That is a fantastic idea! Stay tuned...    -    Todd Olivas 8/6/2010 12:56:49 AM | Flag
Hi, Renee. That feature has been implemented now. In your profile, you can set your zip code and state to allow others to see that info. Currently, I haven't made it appear after each and every post but it is viewable on the user profile page. Check mine out here: Todd Olivas    -    Todd Olivas 8/25/2010 4:27:29 PM | Flag

I'm finding it hard to see if I can edit my answers or not. The FAQs about the scoring system mention editing your answers, but when I check over the options offered on the answers and questions I've posted, I don't see a link to edit them.
Oops, that was a mistake. That wording has been taken off for now.    -    Todd Olivas 5/10/2010 12:49:36 PM | Flag
Is there any way you can add in a feature to edit the question in case of typos?    -    kyunggreen 6/27/2010 10:19:12 AM | Flag

Admin Todd,

I just registered and I saw a spot where I can invite a friend to join, now I can't see where that box is and I don't know how I saw it the first time. can't you add that box to one of the choices at the top right of the screen? or put it under member names or some other logical place to find it??

thanks so very much, I am looking forward to this site!!! I am wordsmith, kathy

Kathy (aka wordsmith), thanks for the suggestion. When you log in, it's at the bottom of that page. Just scroll down past the Badge box and you'll see Invite friends, earn 10 points each. Let me know if that doesn't help. Also, welcome to the site! I'm excited you're here too.    -    Todd Olivas 5/10/2010 12:48:54 PM | Flag

It would be helpful to have a feature to delete a message after it's been posted so you can make corrections.  Somehow my message got posted twice, one with a change and if I could I would have deleted the one that did not have the change.

Thanks

That feature is coming!!! Several people have asked for it as well and I definitely see the value of being able to edit/delete posts after the fact.    -    Todd Olivas 7/26/2010 11:14:42 AM | Flag
Please bring this feature about a little faster. Too many negative comments have come from what I've posted and I'd like to remove my post entirely.    -    pwreu 7/27/2012 9:09:21 AM | Flag

Hi, Todd.

What I would like to see MOST right now is the abolishment of the page back and page forward function.

What I mean is -- well, perhaps an example would be better.

I just got finished writing a rather lengthy response to a question, and attempted to use common Mac keyboard strokes to go to the end of a line or to the beginning of a line ... and instead of doing that, the page went to the previous page I had looked at ... and, of course, my entire answer was gone.

This has happened three times now on the same question.

The keyboard commands in question are Apple-Left and the Apple-Right.

I have run into this on other forums, but when you use the keyboard commands to go back to the page you were writing on, your text is still there.  Here, there is nothing.

Well.  Off to write that same answer, for the third time ...  hopefully, this third time will be the charm!
